Stanley James Gabrysiak Jr.

Stanley James Gabrysiak Jr., 79, of Posen passed away from novel coronavirus complications March 21, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alpena.

 

He was born May 21, 1942 in Rogers City to Stanley and Julia (Darga) Gabrysiak.

Stanley began his career at Calcite in 1962 and worked as a laborer, trackman, locomotives, driller, shovel operator, truck driver, crane operator, then retired in 2005 as a loader operator. On May 21, 1966 he married Patricia Soban in Hamtramck. 

He began his 25-year involvement with 4-H in 1977 teaching woodworking, clock making and the Teen Service Club where he made a lasting impact on many lives. 

He was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed gardening and fruit tree grafting.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Maureen (Chris) Regan, Damian (Emily) Gabrysiak, Frances (Mark) Hentkowski, S

imon (Neisha) Gabrysiak, Catharine (Darwin) Chojnacki and Julie (Grant) Freese; 26 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Kathleen Conley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Julia; a daughter, Valerie; a son, Stanley II; and three grandchildren, Micah Jennings, Sophia Gabrysiak and Caleb Gabrysiak.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home Friday, March 25, from 4-8 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday at St. Casimir Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.
