Helen Lawrencia MacFalda
Helen Lawrencia MacFalda, 93, of Posen passed away at MyMichigan Health Center in Alpena May 28, 2026.
She was born May 22, 1933, in Posen to Anthony and Elizabeth (Szczerowski) MacFalda.
Helen graduated from Posen High School. She earned her master’s degree in biology. Helen taught in many United States Embassy schools throughout the world. She enjoyed traveling and being a teacher. Following her retirement, Helen cared for her brother Stanley for the last three years of his life.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, John (Laurie) Kieleszewski, Michael Kieleszewski, Helen Rocca, Dennis Kieleszewski, Robert (Debbie) Kieleszewski, Thomas Kieleszewski, Kathleen (Michael) Blake, Joseph (Patty) Kieleszewski and David (Vicki) Kieleszewski; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Eli
Friends may visit at St. Casimir Catholic Church Friday, June 5, from 10 a.m. through time of funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Charlie Donajkowski officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. Casimir Catholic Church in memory of Helen MacFalda.
