Lillie Elaine (Herrell) Paradise
It is with deep love and sorrow that we share the passing of Lillie Elaine (Herrell) Paradise, 76, of Battle Creek July 22, 2026. She was born May 25, 1950, to Bradford and Gena Herrell in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend, who lived a wonderful life.

Elaine worked at many fine establishments including Ferrari’s, The Gaslight, New York New York, Old Town Tavern and Buckingham Inn. She enjoyed trips to Rogers City (Jeff’s hometown), reading, cooking, taking care of her grandchildren and growing awesome flowers. She had a green thumb that seemed almost magical and loved sharing the beauty she created with everyone around her. In 2021 Elaine was awarded the Barbara J. Newton Amateur Baseball Women of the year for her contributions to amateur baseball.
Elaine married Jeff Paradise in 1976. September 5 would have marked their 50th wedding anniversary. A marriage marked by joy and a lifetime of memories built together.
\She is survived by her husband, Jeff; two daughters, Tiffany Pape and Jessica Paradise; her sister, Ellan (Tony) Rogers; three beloved grandsons, Jason (Annalisa) Gilbert, Kyle (Bruna) Pape and Nick Pape; a great-granddaughter, Penelope Jayne; sisters-in-law, Fay Wickens, Jill Vieau, Jackie Poch and Sandra Hildebrand; a special niece, Vicki (Rick) Staib; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. \Elaine was strong, kind and fiercely loved by her family and friends. May she forever walk among the trees, feel the warmth of the sun and be surrounded by fields of wildflowers.
