Bonnie Carol Lamberson

Bonnie Carol Lamberson, 84, of Mackinaw City and formerly of Onaway, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Woodland Acres Assisted Living in Gaylord.

Born July 18, 1932 in Pontiac, Bonnie was the daughter of Edward H. and Elsie L. (Harrison) Winter.

After high school, she attended beauty school and worked for many years at Auburn Heights Beauty Shop.

On July 22, 1950, Bonnie married Arnold L. Lamberson in Auburn Heights where they raised their family and lived for many years.

In retirement Bonnie and Arnold moved to the Onaway area. After Arnold’s death March 26, 2015, Bonnie lived with her daughter, Sheryl, in Mackinaw City.

She enjoyed berry picking, cooking and tending to her flower gardens. An avid knitter, her family and friends will always cherish the knitted personalized Christmas stocking that she gave almost everyone she knew as a gift. Bonnie was also a member of the Smiling Circle Club, serving as treasu

rer for 25 years.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arnold; and a son, Lorn Lamberson. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl (Jim) Burrow of Mackinaw City; sons, Paul (Bernadine) Lamberson of Pueblo, Colorado and Alan (Debora) Lamberson of Gaylord; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, Bonnie’s family will remember her privately.  Following cremation, interment will take place with Arnold at Hillcrest Cemetery in Onaway. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to help fight Breast Cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease.
