Arthur “Art” F. Tulgestka Jr.

Arthur “Art” F. Tulgestka Jr. passed away peacefully at the University of Toledo Medical Center April 6, 2019 with his wife and daughter by his side.

Art was born to Arthur and Frieda Tulgestka August 22, 1940 the seventh of nine children. Art served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was union president for Alcoa Metals, and continued in family tradition with his own logging business. 

Art had many accomplishments in his life the best of which was his marriage to his wife Jean Carter March 17, 1979 in Colonial Heights, Virgina. They had two children, Arthur Tulgestka III of Onaway and Kimberly Tulgestka of Rogers City. Art adored his three grandchildren, Onaka an

d Arthur Tulgestka IV, and Gabriella Gwendolyn. Art is survived by three siblings, Juanita (Ted) Kuhn, Robert (Diane) Tulgestke and Richard (Geri) Tulgetske. 

Art was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosealie Kortman, Delores Bruder; and three brothers, Otto, Luther and Erhard Tulgestka. 

Art was much loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family. Through his generous heart Art provided a better life for many and left a lasting impression with anyone he met. 

A future memorial is planned and will be announced in remembrance of such a great man. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. God Bless.
