Arlene Anna Thomas

Arlene Anna Thomas, 88, of Rogers City passed away February 13, 2020 at Medilodge in Rogers City.

She was born March 14, 1931 in Moltke Township to Arthur and Irene (Tulgestke) Peltz. 

Arlene graduated from Rogers City High School in 1949.
On December 10, 1949, she married Marlin Thomas. She retired from The Lighthouse Restaurant in 2000 after 38 years of service. 

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband of 70 years, Marlin;
three children, John (Carol) Thomas of Rogers City, Nancy (Jeff) Locke of Cheboygan and Kay (Jim) Manning of Maple Grove, Minnesota; six grandchildren;
four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Foster, Elsie Simpson and Dorothy Ganske; a sister-in-law, Loretta Peltz; and a brother-in-law, John Grafe. Arlene is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Irene; two brothers, Harvey Peltz and Norval Peltz; two sisters, Leora (Jack) Robb and Marilyn Grafe; a daughter-in-law, June Thomas; a sister-in-law, Luella “Tootie” (Harry) Adrian; and brothers-in-law, Larry Foster,

Arthur Simpson and Pete Ganske. 

Visitation was at St. John Lutheran Church Saturday, February 15, from noon until time of her memorial service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. J. Derek Riddle officiating. 

Inurnment will take place at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to McLaren Hospice, the activities room at Medilodge in Rogers City or a charity of your choice.
