Eva Belle Pichan

Eva Belle Pichan, 98, of Posen died Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Golden Beach Manor.

Eva Belle was born December 11, 1921 in Rockwood to Fred and Harriett (Miller) Olmstead and grew up on the family farm. She was the valedictorian of her class at Flat Rock High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Norman Pichan January 9, 1941 in Wyandotte and remained in the area raising their family. After retirement, Eva and Norman moved to Posen in 1975.

Surviving are two sons, Alan (Grace) Pichan of Au Gres and Lee (Mary) Pichan of Dexter; six grandchildren, Cameron (Jennifer), Richard, Christopher (Karissa), Heather (Michael), Matthew (Danielle) and Bailey; and 12 great-grandchildren, Jessica, Kyle, Emma, and Tyler, Kendall, and Hannah, Nate, Katie, and Sophia, Lucy, Scarlett and Skylar. She was preceded in death by two sons, Norman II and Cary; two sisters, Mary Wager and Blanche Case; and a daughter-in-law, Marvyn Pichan.

The family will receive guests today (Thursday) at McWilliams Funeral Home from 4 – 8 p.m. and Friday, February 28, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Posen (Alpena and Green roads) from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jack Ferguson officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
