Nautical Festival to expand pageants for July 31 event

Plans are in the works to expand the annual summer pageant sponsored by the Nautical City festival committee. Pageant director Missy Bannon is organizing the first-ever princess pageant for girls ages 6-10. They must be age 6 before July 1. Participants must reside in Presque Isle County. Vanessa Paquin will be pageant director for the princess program.

The event will include a royal tea party and evening wear walk with Miss Rogers City and Miss Nautical City. 

The Miss Rogers City Scholarship Pageant will run in conjunction with the Miss Nautical Coast Scholarship Pageant. Participants in Miss Rogers City are limited to the first 10 girls who sign up at Rogers City High School and is for girls ages 16-18. They must be 16 by July 1 and attend Rogers City High School or live in the Rogers City area to participate.

The Miss Nautical Coast is for girls who reside anywhere in Presque Isle County and is for ages 17-19. 

The Teen Miss Rogers City and Teen Miss Nautical Coast pageants will be conducted on the same day, July 31. Those are limited to the first 10 girls in each category for ages 13-15.
