Hope Romel

Hope Romel, 29, of Alpena, passed away Wednesday afternoon September 2, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center.

Hope was born March 9, 1991 in Traverse City, to Phillip and Georgann (Miller) Romel. Hope graduated from Alpena High School, received her associate degree from Alpena Community College and later completed her schooling as a manicurist.  Hope was gifted with creative and designing talents.

Hope faced the debilitating effects of osteogenesis imperfecta with courage, strength, and determination she inherited from her parents.  Hope was little, but mighty with a huge heart full of love. Throughout Hope’s life many people attributed to her becoming the strong young lady she was!

Hope viewed life’s events as adventures and was known to relate with detail her latest “adventure” that included her best friend and partner in crime Jessica.

ey; grandmother, Lorraine Miller; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and treasured, faithful, friend Jessica O’Neil.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgann Romel, June 1, 1995; grandparents, Sylvester and Josephine Romel, and Melvin J. Miller.

Visitation and memorial service was Sunday, September 6, at Rogers City Baptist Church with the Rev. David Rogers officiating.  Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences can be sent to Hentkowskifuneral.com.
