Willard Otto Schleben

Willard Otto Schleben, 88, of Moltke Township passed away September 3, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland.

He was born January 1, 1932 in Moltke Township to Otto and Lorene (Flemming) Schleben.

Willard was a lifelong farmer and woodsman. He owned and operated Schleben Farm and Forest. Throughout the years he was never without a loving K-9 companion. Willard was an avid sportsman and loved harvesting hay from the fields each summer. On Sunday afternoons you were sure to find him enjoying a meal at his all-time favorite restaurant, Big Boy.

He is survived by nine children, Linda (Joseph

) Kuznicki of Rogers City, Judy (Charles) Waldroup of Gaylord, Carl (Sherry) Schleben, Dennis Schleben and Rudolph Schleben, all of Rogers City, Sarah (Kent) Dennings of Lansing, Mark Schleben, William Schleben and Scott Schleben also all of Rogers City; and 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Lorene; three brothers, Arnold, Duane and Delmar; and a sister, Emily.

His funeral was Saturday, September 5, at the Beck Funeral Home with the Rev. Laraine Sundin officiating.

Memorials may be given to St. James Lutheran Church in Moltke.
