Kim Gordon Kowalewsky

Kim Gordon Kowalewsky, 65, of Woodstock died Sunday, October 25, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin.

He was born in Rogers City April 4, 1955 to Malcolm and Audrey (Kuhlman) Kowalewsky. He married Angela Weinrich June 21, 1981 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their son Andrew, adopted November 17, 1989, was his pride and joy.

Kim was an active member at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake. He was a strong Christian and an active leader in the church. Hobbies included target shooting, hunting and fishing. 

He enjoyed yard work and reading. A treasured pastime was playing catch with his son. He will be remembered as a loving husband and a wonderful father. He was loved and will be missed. 

He is survived by his wife, Angela; a son, Andrew (Rebecca); and a brother, Karl (Vicky). He was cherished by his extended family, Sharon (Mark John), Janice (Wayne), Jeanin

e (Charles), Mark (Judy) and Tim (Cheryl). He will always be remembered as Uncle Tiny by his many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Billy.

Visitation will be today (Thursday, October 29) at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock starting at 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Due to novel coronavirus (COVID-19), space is limited. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 460 W. Erie St., Rogers City, MI 49779.
