Joyce Iva (Wallace) Peetz

Joyce Iva (Wallace) Peetz, 90, of Mt. Pleasant passed away at Maplewood Assisted Living Wednesday, February 24, 2021.  Joyce was born January 26, 1931, daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Walker) Wallace, in Carsonville. 

She married William Peetz May 19, 1956 in Carsonville. Together

they raised their three children. Joyce enjoyed traveling, gardening and reading. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.  

Joyce is survived by her children, Diane (David) Whale of Detroit, Nancy (Michael) Corrigan of Hamburg and John (Barbara) Peetz of Royal Oak; grandchildren, Carolyn (Jason) Brown of Peoria, Arizona., Chelsea Whale of Chicago, Illinios, and Lauren Peetz and James Peetz both of Royal Oak. She is preceded in death by both parents; a brother, Robert Wallace; and her husband William in 2017. 

Cremation has taken place and memorial service was held at  Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant Wednesday, March 3, with the Rev. Jonathon Bakker officiating.
