Scott Douglas “Coops” Cooper

Scott Douglas “Coops” Cooper, 46, of Rogers City passed away April 19, 2021 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.

He was born September 18, 1974 in Rogers City to Douglas and Karen (Kowalski) Cooper.

Scott graduated from Rogers City High School in 1994, the following Monday he started sailing. Coops loved sailing on the Great Lakes and working in the galley feeding

his friends. His favorite pastime was following the Green Bay Packers but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his fiancée, Mandy Mustachia of Rogers City; bonus sons, Frank Beeler of Rogers City and Alex Martin of Water Valley, Mississippi; bonus daughter, Jess Haselhuhn of Rogers City; parents, Karen and Mike Kowalski of Rogers City; a brother, Michael Kowalski Jr. of Rogers City; a granddaughter, Emma Getzmeyer-Ruppert; in-laws, Mike and Dana Irwin of Alpena; and a brother-in-law, Kendall Irwin of Alpena. Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Jamie Cooper in 2002.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home Saturday, April 24, from 9 a.m. through time of his funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Ocqueoc Township Cemetery.
