Kenneth “Ken” Lee Hincka

Kenneth “Ken” Lee Hincka, 69, of Fenton, formerly of Posen, passed away May 4, 2021 at home.

He was born September 9, 1951 in Rogers City to Edward and Rose (Lijewski) Hincka.

Ken was born a farmer, raised in Posen. He attended St. Casimir Catholic School then graduated from Posen High School in 1969, where he played football. He worked for the railroad briefly, then moved down state to do road construction with the state of Michigan. 

He surveyed, inspected, and supervised various road crews throughout his 31 years of service. In retirement, he enjoyed wood splitting, “playing in the wood pile,” and tree trimming as a hardworking Polack. 

He’s with “the boys” now; hunting, fishing, drinking beers, riding in fast cars and chasing girls.

He is survived by his children, Lana Giddings, Christine (DeAndre) Jamison, Eric Hincka, Laura (Gabe) Poletti, Justin (Jennifer) Hincka and Kendra Hincka; siblings, Al (Melinda) Hincka, Edward Jr. (Sue) Hincka, Mary (Stan) Marculewicz and Laurie Zielaskowski; 12 grandchildren, Jake, Zaylee, Lexi, Dillon, Nicole, Blake, Kevin, Kasen, Keegan, Bella, Lucia and Le

o; several nieces and nephews; and two former wives, Anita Chojnacki and Karen Glaser.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Edward Sr.; a sister, Deborah (David) Finch; a brother, Jimmy (Mary) Hincka; a brother-in-law, Bob Zielaskowski; a grandson, Elijah; and a nephew, Scott.

Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home Sunday, May 9, with sharing of memories that evening. Visitation resumed Monday at St. Casimir Catholic Church until time of Mass with the Rev. James Siler officiating.

Interment followed at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements in care of the Beck Funeral Home.
