Nancy (Gapczynski) Murphy
Nancy (Gapczynski) Murphy, 61, of Eagle River, Alaska passed away at home July 4, 2021 after a long courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born January 21, 1960 in Rogers City to John and Betty Gapczynski. Nancy graduated from Rogers City High School and went on to receive her degree in accounting from Lake State.
In 1979 she married Terry Murphy and for the past 27 years has lived in Eagle River. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She owned a jazzercise business at which she taught many classes. In her spare time, she also enjoyed hiking in the mountains and running marathons and in her free time watched the Seattle Mariners.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Terry; her mother, Betty Gapczynski; a son, Kevin; a daughter, Erin (Steve) Morrell; grandchildren, Chris, Declan and Keira Murphy, and Ebba and Bijorn Morrell; a brother, Lee (Joan) Gapczynski; sisters, Julie (Phil) Meyers and Stacie (Jim) Ross; and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, John Gapczynski.
