James “Jimmy” Charles Beebe Sr.
James “Jimmy” Charles Beebe Sr., 77, of Afton, died Sunday, September 19, 2021 at home. The son of Frank E. and Gendola Mae (Brooks) Beebe, Jimmy was born May 16, 1944 in Cheboygan. He lived in northern Michigan most of his life and worked for his uncle’s carnival business setting up the carnival and operating rides.
Jimmy enjoyed going to the Cheboygan Senior Citizens’ Center where he loved playing on the Wii bowling league. He enjoyed dancing, riding his four-wheeler, shooting pool, and watching sports on television, especially the Detroit Lions.
Surviving Jimmy is his son, James Jr. (Kathy) Beebe of Marinette, Wisconsin; and Jimmy’s family at Earl and Ruth Colburn’s home in Afton. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Tom Beebe, Frank Beeb and Gordon Beard.
A Celebration of Life was held at Afton Community Hall. Jimmy’s final resting place is at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Tower.
