Yvonne “Bonnie” M. Frasier

Yvonne “Bonnie” M. Frasier, 83, of Onaway, died Friday, June 10, 2022 at Medilodge of Rogers City. Born January 6, 1939 in Pontiac, Yvonne was the daughter of Egar and Gladys (Kemp) LaFlamme. She married Robert “Bob” N. Frasier June 30, 1964 in Waterford and they made their home in Clarkston. They were blessed with 55 years of marriage at the time of Bob’s death June 28, 2019. 

After retiring from St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac where she worked in food service for many years, Bonnie and Bob moved to Onaway to enjoy their retirement years. Devoted to her faith, she was a longtime member of the Onaway United Methodist Church and belonged to the Onaway Veterans of Foreign War Ladies Auxiliary. An avid crafter, Bonnie enjoyed creating 3D pictures and making woodcrafts. She loved working in her flower gardens and doing yard work. Those with special needs held a place in Bonnie’s heart as she had been a school bus driver for children with special needs and was a volunteer with the Special Olympics of Michigan

. Bonnie loved seeing the joy and excitement the Special Olympics brought to her daughter, Linda and the other athletes. 

Surviving Bonnie are daughters, Patricia Zoll of Onaway, and Debra Richmond and Theresa (Ed) Pringle, both of Burton; sons, Don Huemiller of Sonoma, California and Paul (Sherry) Frasier of Tennessee; as well as nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; a daughter, Linda Frasier; a brother; and her parents. 

It was Bonnie’s wish that no services take place following her death. She will be buried with her parents at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston.
