Janice “Jan” Marlene VanHollebeke

Janice “Jan” Marlene VanHollebeke, 84, of Rogers City passed away peacefully at home Saturday, March 4, 2023.

She was born August 2, 1938 in Rogers City to Reuben and Julia (Klien) Klee.

Janice is survived by two sons, John (Lisa Knopf) Nowak of Rogers City and Tom Nowak of Rogers City; five grandchildren, Michael (Randall Proulx) Nowak, Andy (Ali) Nowak, Alysa Nowak, Hayley Nowak and Brayden Nowak; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Nowak and Claire Nowak; two brothers, Ronald (Joyce) Klee and Patrick Klee; and a sister-in-law, Joann Klee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil VanHollebeke; a brother, Carl Klee; and a sister, Linda (Al) Hall.

Janice graduated from Rogers City High School in 1956. Many memories with Jan included the cottage where everyone gathe

red on beautiful summer days. She loved the lake and enjoyed slow, evening pontoon rides with the family. She was a friend to many and loved going out to lunch with ladies or playing a round of golf. Janice loved to garden and try new recipes in the kitchen. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and having them all together for meals around the same table.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home Thursday, March 16, from 11 a.m. through time of her funeral at noon.

Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
