Richard Lee Wirgau, 72, of Rogers City passed away March 27, 2023 at MyMichigan Health in Alpena.

He was born July 11, 1950 in Alpena to Willis and Lucille (Grulke) Wirgau.

Richard is survived by his significant other, Debra Shay; six children, Randall Wirgau of Galesburg, Georgia, Jeffery (Ashley) Wirgau of Alpena, Jason (Christina) Wirgau of Alpena, Amanda Wirgau of Rome, Georgia, Rebecca Wirgau of Rome, Georgia and Shawn Robarge of Alpena; many grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four brothers.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home Friday, March 31, from 10 a.m. through time of his funeral at 11 a.m. Rogers City Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 607 will offer a military tribute at the funeral home immediately following.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
