Helen Kenjorski

Helen Kenjorski, 98, of Alpena passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family August 13, 2023.

Helen Gill was born May 9, 1925, in Detroit to Joseph and Wladyslawa (Lottie) Gill. On June 16, 1945, she married Arthur A. Kenjorski. He preceded her in death September 2, 2001. 

Art and Helen moved to Grand Lake where they raised a family and owned the Bluebird Restaurant for 47 years. 

Helen was a hardworking woman, best known for her devotion to her family, her generous spirit, kind heart and passion for cooking. She was a beautiful lovin

g person, inside and out, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her children, Marie (Gary) Bedard, Diane Mitchell-Hull, Linda (Jerry) Kamysiak and Karen (Tim) Horn; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Jerome and Barbara Gill; and her son-in-law, Donald Hull.

Helen’s arrangements are in the care of McWilliams Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at the St. Casimir Cemetery in Posen and a private family gathering will take place in the future.
