Ray Louis Cook

Ray Louis Cook, 72, of Presque Isle (formerly of Ypsilanti) passed away peacefully August 19, 2023 at MyMichigan Health in Alpena with his loving family at his side after a lengthy illness.

Born November 21, 1950 to Sidney Austin and Dorothy Dena (Rinard) Cook in Ypsilanti.

Ray is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years; daughters, Melissa (John) Knowles and Megan (Mike) Wehmeier; two granddaughters; a sister, Jacquelyn Brown; brothers, Sidney K. (Kay) Cook and Clayton Cook; brothers-in-law, Shawn Scanlon and Martin (Laurence) Scanlon; and a large extended family. Also missing Ray is Sadie, his faithful furry friend.

The family will have a private Celebration of Life, honoring Ray’s wishes.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any veterans’ organization or the Huron Humane Society of Alpena.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Beck Funeral Home in Rogers City.
