Throughout his life, Jerry had a fulfilling career in the food service industry. He made a positive impact on those he worked with and served. Jerry was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed doing both with his family and friends. While continuing to enjoy his hobbies, Jerry had even more time to spend doing the things he loved after retiring in 2011. He volunteered his time by giving back to his community in many ways. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter the circumstance. Most importantly, he was able to spend countless hours making memories with his family at the beach on Lake Huron.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Marcia; three daughters, Jill (Joe) Robinson of Geneva, Illinois, Kim Tuma (Nate) Baker of Brookfield, Illinois and Susan (Carl) Bryan of Sandwich, Illinois.  He was a proud grandfather to Luke and Ava Robinson, Liam, Caden and Milo Baker, and Maddy and Sam Bryan. Jerry is also survived by his brother, Ted Tuma; a sister-in-law, Devra Tuma; a sister-in-law, Sonna Gawne; a brother-in-law, Keith (Carolyn) Charters; and a sister-in-law, Julie (Tony) Urbanski.
