Patricia Ann Parsons

Patricia “Pat” Ann Parsons, 95, of Alpena, formerly of Rogers City passed away peacefully at Turning Brook with her daughters by her side January 28, 2024.

She was born in Lansing November 3, 1928 to Ernest and Ruth Ann (Banhagel) Foster.

On August 9, 1952 she married Roger Parsons at St. Mary Catholic Church in Charlevoix. Pat was a physical education teacher in Rogers City for 11 years and then in Alpena for another 11 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Michigan Association of Retired School Teachers. Pat was an avid athlete and sports’ fan.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann (David) Birkenmeyer of Belmont and Jane (Terry) Belland of Presque Isle; five grandchildren, Erica (Bryan) Kishman, Alex Birkenmeyer, Luba Pruitt, Leeann (Anthony DiMaria) Belland and Matthew Belland; three great-grandchildren, Jack Kishman, Aubrey Kishman and Tatiyana Jones; as well as her brother, Paul Foster of Alden. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Roger.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. through time of her memorial service at noon.

A luncheon will follow in the San Luis Rey room.

Inurnment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska following her memorial service.

Pat’s family would like to express their great gratitude to the staff at Turning Brook and Hospice of Michigan for their years of loving care and compassion.
