Wendell Orm
Wendell Orm, 83, of Onaway peacefully left us January 18, 2024. Wendell was born October 3, 1940. He is survived by his sons, James (Karen) Orm and Jerry (Sandy) Orm; a daughter, Cheri (Larry) Eggett; grandchildren, James, Timothy, Sandra, Derek, Dakota, David and Julia; and siblings, Ted (Lolly) Orm and Elaine (Gordon) Hafner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty.
Wendell grew up in Hillman thoroughly enjoying the hunting, fishing and outdoor activities offered here. He was a Navy veteran and former police officer of Montmorency County.
Wendell was proud of his high school sports’ accomplishments and most recently became the founder of the Hillman High School sports’ Hall of Fame. He took great pleasure in the recognition of the outstanding athletes past and present.
Plans are being made for a graveside service and memorial in the spring and will be announced in the near future. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
