Allen Robert “Uncle” Luebke

Allen Robert “Uncle” Luebke was promoted to angel May 10, 2024.

He was born January 27, 1952 in Rogers City to Robert and Mary (Wojtowicz) Luebke.

Allen started his life in Metz then moved to Rogers City and graduated from Rogers City High School in 1971. In 1972 he was granted an invitation from the federal government to join the Army of the United States, he accepted. After being stationed in the United States, he was deployed to Europe. His last stop was Germany. After 12 years, he received a full medical discharge due to macular degeneration. After being home for a short period of time, he returned to Germany and opened a bookstore. After two years he returned home. Allen eventually built a home in Metz where he raised a garden, chickens and ducks. He shared what he grew with friends and family as well as one pumpkin with a porcupine. He enjoyed woodworking and leather crafting. “A person’s life cannot be summed up in a few short paragraphs, but we who knew him can remember him and speak of him.”

He is survived by his goofy dog, Howdy; his cat Irving, also known as the unloved slob; a sister, Dawn (Ron) Strzelecki; a sister-in-law, Brenda Luebke; many nieces and nephews; and would like to thank Aaron (Cara) Rose for assisting with his final months.
