Michael Joseph Beauregard

His Legacy… Michael Joseph Beauregard, 86, passed away May 6, 2024.  He was born July 13, 1937, in Petoskey to Raymond and Louise (Bernie) Beauregard. Michael was married to Susan Andres, April 20, 1968, in East Lansing. 

Starting their new life with just a canoe and car, faith and family were the most important to Michael. Being an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird-watching, canoeing and camping. 

Michael was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed carving wood and building furniture. 

His love for botany and his forestry degree led him to open Whiffletree Plant Nursery, which he operated for 10 years after retirement. Michael loved to help people, whether it be through prison ministry, missionary work or helping someone work on their projects. He was very involved in the Catholic Church and was a father figure to many. Michael was a joy to know and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

chael will be missed by his wife, Susan Beauregard; his children, Michelle (Keith) Noch, Marc (Lynn) Beauregard, Marie (Tim) Rea and Carolyn (Luke) Kuschel; siblings, Karen Beauregard and Douglas (Anna) Beauregard; grandchildren, Thérèse, Józef, Kolbe, Marijana, Maison (Alexis), Micah, Claire, Rose, Noah, Blaise, Kateri, Stephen, Rebekah, Samuel, Isaiah, Ethan, Anthony, Natalie, Genevieve and Vivienne; great-grandsons, Myles and Waylon. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Louise Beauregard; brothers, Raymond Beauregard Jr. and Kenneth Beauregard. 

His Farewell… Michael’s family and friends gathered Tuesday, May 14, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. His Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, May 15, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Pinckney. The Rev. Dan Kogut served as celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Pious Union of St. Joseph.
