Mary Catherine “Cathy” McCallum

Mary Catherine “Cathy” McCallum, 85, of Manitou Beach passed away peacefully at home August 29, 2024.

She was born in Detroit to Massimo and Johanna (Giordano) Marta April 27, 1939.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Rob and Scott; two grandchildren, Morgan and Nathaniel; and a cousin, Nika Fragola.

The 40-Mile Point Lighthouse Society hosted an open house at the lighthouse Monday, September 16, from 1-3 p.m. in honor of Cathy who has been a longtime friend of the lighthouse.

Inurnment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the 40-Mile Point Lighthouse in memory of Mary Catherine McCallum.
