Richard “Richie” Otto Kapala, 63, of Kalamazoo passed away unexpectedly April 2, 2025.

He was born in Rogers City to Marie Legacy and Otto Kapala November 12,1961.

Richie graduated from Rogers City in 1979. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a talented artist and drummer.

Richie is survived by three sisters, Shirley Gordon (Paul) Wake Forrest, North Carolina, Renee Roeske (Ray) Rogers City, Rosie Legacy (Tim Touchton) of Carrabelle, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was proceeded in death by his parents.

Memorials maybe given to charity of friend’s choice.
