Storm causes early end to football game

Thunder and lightning followed by heavy rain caused the early end to the Rogers City vs. Oscoda football game Friday in Oscoda. At 7:45 p.m. sideline judge Dave Kuznicki noticed a large bolt of lightning strike to the northwest of the football field, immediately signalling for the stoppage of play. After waiting until 9 p.m., the game was called with Oscoda leading 35-0.
