Yvette “V” Marie Wozniak
Our beloved Yvette “V” Marie Wozniak sadly passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 2 , 2023, in Seattle, Washington.
Born May 26, 1968 and raised in northern Michigan, V graduated from Oakland University with a degree in English literature and theatre.
She loved living in the Royal Oak area (a dedicated Red Wings’ fan!) and worked as a computer analyst at Electronic Data Systems until moving to Seattle in 1999, where she ultimately studied massage therapy.
V’s witty sense of humor and unique ability to make people laugh will always be remembered. Her generous spirit touched everyone she met.
She had a love for sharing her cooking and baking, especially her favorite bread, “V Brot” as she always called it.
The love of her life by far was her son Cadence. Her pride and love for him remained the driving force behind her faith, strength, and hope, always expressing the best in life she wanted for him and his future. V called him “her greatest accomplishment.
Yvette is survived by her son, Cadence; parents, Brenda Gauthier (John) and Dennis Wozniak; sisters, Angela Wozniak (Eric and Steven Nickla), Krickette Wozniak (Tracy Boyd), Erika Woloszyk; and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins.
Yvette was recently honored with a private family ceremony in Seattle.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 4, at the Calvary Bible Church, Rogers City, at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Yvette’s memory to a food bank or a pet adoption agency of choice.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for the summer of 2024 in Michigan, where family and friends will be invited to share memories and honor V’s life with laughter and love.
